How this works

We fetch the beat title and thumbnail from the URL (using YouTube's free oEmbed endpoint or the site's Open Graph tags — no YouTube API quota burned). Pick your license at submission — leases stay leases, free-for-profit stays free. We never silently mark a paid lease as free.

Duplicates are detected automatically: if a URL already exists in the catalog, we'll just return the existing beat ID instead of creating a copy.
